Protect your affiliate program by blocking affiliate referrals from search engines and search ads using the Traffic Source Control feature.

This feature now enables you to:

  • Block traffic from major search engines (Google, Bing, Baidu, Yandex).

  • Block traffic from specific custom domains that you define (e.g. AI-driven platforms, or any other site).

By activating these settings, you can reduce unwanted affiliate traffic and lower the risk of fraudulent or non-compliant activity.

How to block traffic from search engines:

  1. Navigate to Campaign > Edit Campaign > Traffic Source Control.

  2. Toggle on 'Ignore traffic from major search engines' to block traffic from Google, Bing, Baidu, and Yandex. This includes traffic from search ads.

  3. Enable or disable the blocklist on a per-campaign basis, depending on your needs.

πŸ’‘ Tip: We recommend updating your affiliate program's terms of service to clearly state that traffic from search ads is prohibited.

How to block traffic from custom domains:

  1. Navigate to Campaign > Edit Campaign > Traffic Source Control.

  2. Toggle on 'Ignore traffic from domains specified by you'.

  3. Click 'Add Domains' and enter:

    • A single domain, or

    • A comma-separated list of domains.

  4. Review the added domains, remove any unwanted entries if needed, and click Save.

βœ… Once saved, any referral traffic coming from these domains will be ignored.

You can use either option individually or combine both to better control how traffic is tracked and ensure compliance across your program.
