Customer.io is a platform for centralizing and personalizing communications with your audience based on their own behavior. And as it includes powerful features for automating messaging, it can be a big help when it comes to staying in touch with your affiliates.
Rewardful is able to mirror each new affiliate as a Person in Customer.io upon registration. First, you'll need to click the "Integrations" link in the dropdown menu of your Rewardful dashboard, or just go directly to https://app.getrewardful.com/integrations.
You should now see a list of Rewardful's integrations, one of which has the Customer.io logo. When you find it, click the "Connect" button to begin filling in your information.
Rewardful needs three pieces of information to make the connection with Customer.io: your Tracking API site ID and key and your App API key.
These can be found in the API Credentials section of your Account Settings page on the Customer.io dashboard. There's also a direct link to that page below each of these text fields in the Rewardful form.
Once you've copied these over, that should do it for you. New affiliates should be added to Customer.io when they register, and there, you'll be able to manage them and start sending them targeted content by adding them to affiliate-specific campaigns.
As new affiliates sign up for your program, you should see them replicated as new people in your Customer.io account with the first and last name and email address they registered with and as members of any segments that you specified depending on which campaign they're associated with . Rewardful also adds three additional fields to each contact it creates that can help you answer any questions your partners might ask concerning which link to use to access the Rewardful portal and how and where to direct new customers to your site. These will be displayed in the Attributes panel of the person detail screen as shown below.
