Understanding the Monthly Revenue Limit

Understand how the Monthly Revenue Limit works and how it impacts your affiliate program.

The Monthly Revenue Limit is the total revenue generated by your affiliate program within a single month, based on all sales attributed to affiliates and tracked through your Stripe account via Rewardful.

This limit is used to ensure your plan matches the growth of your affiliate program. As your affiliates drive more revenue, your plan adjusts accordingly to support that increased activity.

Monthly Revenue Limits by Plan

Each Rewardful plan includes a Monthly Revenue Limit, which defines how much affiliate-generated revenue is supported per month. As your affiliate program grows and generates more revenue, we will notify you and upgrade you to a higher plan to support that growth.

Plan

Monthly Revenue Limit

Starter

$7,500

Growth

$15,000

Enterprise 30k

$30,000

Enterprise 75k

$75,000

Enterprise 150k

$150,000

The Enterprise plan scales beyond these tiers and can be adjusted to support higher levels of affiliate-generated revenue as your program grows.

What counts toward the limit?

Once a referral is attributed to an affiliate, all sales generated by that referral will count toward your Monthly Revenue Limit. This means that any payments made by customers linked to an affiliate, such as subscriptions or repeat purchases, are included in the total.

Only revenue from customers who were created as referrals in Rewardful is counted. Sales from customers who are not linked to any affiliate are not included in the Monthly Revenue Limit.

The limit is calculated on a monthly basis and resets each month, based on the dates when the sales occur.

How is it calculated?

The Monthly Revenue Limit is based on the full value of each sale, not just the commission amount paid to affiliates.

We count all sales associated with referrals that are recorded within a given month, including sales from referrals created either automatically or manually, as well as all payments made by those referrals, such as subscriptions and renewals.

Sales are counted based on the date the payment was made, not when the sale record was created. For example, if a payment was made in February but only recorded later, it will still count toward your February total.

All sales tied to referrals are included in the Monthly Revenue Limit, even if they no longer generate commissions. For example, if your program only rewards the first purchase, any future renewals will still count toward your limit, even if no commission is paid on them.

Where can I see it?

You can view your current Monthly Revenue Limit usage directly in your dashboard.

Under the Campaign tab, you’ll find the section “View monthly summary for all campaigns,” which shows your total sales per month and reflects the revenue counted toward your Monthly Revenue Limit.

What happens if I exceed it?

Your affiliate-generated revenue is evaluated on a monthly basis. If you exceed your Monthly Revenue Limit, we’ll send you an email notification and automatically upgrade you to the appropriate plan to support your program’s growth.

You can view your current plan at any time on your subscription page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does total company revenue count?

No, only revenue generated from customers linked to affiliates is counted. This includes customers who were created as referrals in Rewardful. Revenue from customers who are not associated with any affiliate is not included in the Monthly Revenue Limit.

Does it reset every month?

Yes, the Monthly Revenue Limit is calculated on a monthly basis. At the start of each new month, the count resets and begins again from zero based on that month’s sales.

How does this apply to annual plans?

The same logic applies to annual plans. If you exceed your Monthly Revenue Limit while on an annual plan, we will notify you and move you to the next equivalent annual plan to support your program’s growth.
